The Purchasing Department has the fiscal responsibility of keeping the District compliant in the areas of asset management and record retention in accordance with Governing Board policies, Procurement Rules, Uniform System of Financial Records, Arizona Revised Statues, as well as Federal and State regulations.
This department is responsible for safeguarding the District's assets by performing physical inventories, managing surplus furniture and providing accurate and informative reporting to all District stakeholders and to State and independent auditors.
In addition, this department is responsible for retrieval, storage, management and destruction of the District's archival records in accordance with the retention schedule put forth by the State of Arizona Archives and Library Division.
