After six years of remarkable service, Dr. Tawnya Pfitzer has retired from the Litchfield Elementary School District Governing Board.
Dr. Pfitzer had a profound influence on major initiatives – including boundary revisions, the naming and opening of a new school, the hiring of a new superintendent, our important bond and override work, our stellar reputation for fiscal responsibility, and our roadmap in a global pandemic. As a district parent, homeowner, and business owner, Dr. Pfitzer brought experience, wisdom, and candor to our noble work – and a deep-rooted belief in our excellence.
She has been described by staff members as caring, calm, positive, authentic, and humble.
We know that Dr. Pfitzer needed the support of her staff and family to serve with such engagement and impact. We thank her partner, children, and professional team for their support and sacrifice.
