The Litchfield Elementary School District is celebrating the achievements of two students who recently represented the district at the Arizona State Science and Engineering Fair on March 27.
Logan Kenkel, a fifth-grade student from Mabel Padgett Elementary School, and Bryce Custer, an eighth-grade student from Verrado Heritage Elementary School, showcased their work among top student scientists from across the state.
Bryce Custer earned second place in the Junior Chemistry division, distinguishing himself among a competitive field. His project also ranked in the top 10% of all entries at the fair, earning him an invitation to apply for the prestigious Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge—one of the nation’s premier science competitions for middle school students.
District leaders say the accomplishments of both students reflect the continued focus on academic excellence and innovation across Litchfield Elementary School District.
LESD79 is proud of Logan and Bryce for representing our district at the state level. Their achievements exemplify the curiosity, dedication, and perseverance that define the Litchfield Learner.
