Students in 5th-grade STEM class at Barbara B. Robey Elementary had the opportunity to learn firsthand what forensic scientists do through an engaging classroom visit in partnership with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Representatives from MCSO visited the classroom to share insights into careers in forensic science and spark curiosity about future possibilities in the field.

During the visit, students learned about the role of forensic scientists and participated in a hands-on activity, taking and analyzing their own fingerprints. The interactive experience brought science to life and had students excited, engaged, and eager to learn more.

Thank you to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for this meaningful partnership and to Alison Wood, STEM teacher at Barbara B. Robey Elementary, for making this fun and inspiring learning experience possible for students.
