Students in 5th-grade STEM class at Barbara B. Robey Elementary had the opportunity to learn firsthand what forensic scientists do through an engaging classroom visit in partnership with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Representatives from MCSO visited the classroom to share insights into careers in forensic science and spark curiosity about future possibilities in the field.
During the visit, students learned about the role of forensic scientists and participated in a hands-on activity, taking and analyzing their own fingerprints. The interactive experience brought science to life and had students excited, engaged, and eager to learn more.

Our leaders had the chance to learn and grow in setting goals and focusing on how to engage our community to meet their needs on campus thanks to School Connect.
We are gearing up for our first CAFE’ meeting, where school leaders, staff, parents, faith leaders, and local business partners will come together to build relationships, align resources, and create a shared vision to support student success. We’re excited to launch this next step in building strong school-community partnerships!
